On June 28, 2022, the "Emergency Guizhou Expedition 2022" Guizhou comprehensive emergency drill was held in Zunyi, Guizhou, hosted by the Provincial Emergency Rescue Command and organized by the Provincial Emergency Management Department, Transportation Department, Natural Resources Department, Water Resources Department, Health Commission, Fire Rescue Corps, Military Region Preparedness Construction Bureau, Guizhou Provincial Armed Police Corps, and Zunyi Municipal People's Government.

The drill was divided into one main venue and five sub venues. More than 3000 people from more than 20 departments such as emergency, natural resources, fire protection, health, transportation and social emergency forces were gathered to participate in the practical drill. The simulation background of the drill was that since June 25 to 27, 2022, continuous heavy rainfall in Zunyi City. The meteorological department of Zunyi City issued yellow early warnings for rainstorm weather through monitoring, and orange early warnings were issued in some areas. The command departments for flood control and drought relief in all counties (cities, districts) of Zunyi City separately launched early warning, emergency response, and carried out preventive response and emergency disposal. Since 2:00 on June 28th, the rainfall has continued to increase, and it has been upgraded to a red alert at 7:00. Continuous heavy rainfall has caused accidents and disasters in five different counties (districts) in Zunyi. Zunyi City immediately activated Level II emergency response in accordance with the Zunyi Flood Control and Drought Relief Emergency Plan, and the Municipal Emergency Rescue Headquarters quickly organized emergency forces to carry out rescue operations. The Guizhou Provincial Emergency Rescue Headquarters dispatched a working group and dispatched rescue teams to the disaster area to guide local rescue efforts.

The exercise subjects include multiple types of accident rescue, such as mudslide disasters, hazardous chemical leakage and combustion, mine rainwater backflow, reservoir overflow risks, and highway slope collapse. The government, enterprises, and various social forces are integrated, and 25 emergency rescue teams carry out a series of emergency rescue exercises.
